Caring for your ST MARC linen
ST MARC linen is made to be lived in, and with a little care it will stay beautiful for years. Here’s what we recommend.
-
Wash warm on a gentle cycle
Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle with a low spin. In general, the main cause of pilling in any fabric is fibres rubbing together during washing. Our linen is tested and shows minimal pilling, and a gentle, low-spin wash helps keep it that way.
-
Avoid the tumble dryer where possible
The care label says no tumble drying, as linen performs best when air dried. Air flow alone dries linen well, so it doesn't need heat. If a dryer is your only option, use the lowest heat setting. Less heat helps your linen last longer.
-
Line dry in the shade
Linen wicks moisture well, so it dries faster than cotton and only needs a short time on the line. Where possible, hang it in the shade and bring it in once it's dry, as the strong Australian sun can be hard on natural fibres.
That’s all it takes. With gentle care, your linen will only get softer over time.
